Where's the Point?

Standards of reporting in local freesheets is usually poor. They should cut out the middle man and deliver them straight to the recycling plant. At best they are advertising devices. The local trattoria is not likely to get a poor restaurant review given they have paid for a big advert on the next page.

I'm always tickled by the naff posed photos such as the one featured here. It is part of a serious story - the vandalism of lifebelts along the river promenade. Is there a special school for local journos and photographers that teaches this method?
