Gillingham 0 Tranmere 2

GILLINGHAM 0 TRANMERE 2
Greenacre, Davies

Our first three points of the season. From the radio report it sounded like we fully deserved the points. Another goal for the boy Greenacre and a peach from Steve Davies, apparently. Must look out for this on TV. After the disappointments of defeats against Leeds and Stockport, this was just the tonic we needed. Note to team: when you are 2-0 up you are allowed to concede a goal if that means getting it out of your system. Do not try this when drawing or leading by the odd goal.

I managed to catch the second half of Werder Bremen v Bayern Munich. Bayern ran out 4-0 winners. They looked superb against a side that finished above them in last year's Bundesliga. They did not seem to miss Hargreaves as they dictated midfield. There were some classy goals, the pick of which was a move beginning with a deft piece of skill in defence before sweeping the length of the pitch to score.

It is difficult to find Live TV on the internet but I managed it via Sopcast and TVU. Unfortunately, there are no plans for TRFC games to be shown.

Today is an historic day in relation to The Beatles. I shall post later as to the significance.
